Epic Two Week Wedding Circuit

So much has happened since I last posted. We travelled for 10 days to visit family and friends for two different weddings on back to back weekends! Portland, Oregon and Leesburg, Virginia.

The first leg of our travel was to Portland, Oregon where our nephew got married at Yale Union Laundry, an old art gallery. Its shabby sheek look with white, high ceilings and large windows were the prefect backdrop for the wedding. Although I didn’t see any artwork, I would love to have an art show there!

On Sunday morning we drove to the Oregon coast. Gearhart is on the northern coast near the mouth of the Columbia River which borders Oregon and Washington. You can drive on the beach from Gearhart to Astoria! This is one of the most dangerous bars where the river meets the ocean. The ocean water is salt which is lighter that fresh water. That with the force of the two flowing into the each other creates such a turbulence that is hazardous to fishermen leaving and entering the river. We were in the area for three days among family and friends.

The early flight to Virginia on Thursday morning was brutal. Two and a half hours to Los Angeles then 5 hours before we landed in Dulles Airport. (And a three hour time change)

We hit the ground running in Leesburg. Met with friends for dinner and fine wine then checked into the hotel. These are the friends we travel with. The first night is always the best!

The next night was rehearsal dinner and then Wedding Day! Another epic time with everyone!
